# Where to order helmets online?

anyone know where is a good place to order racing/bike helmets online?

[www.helmetcity.com](http://www.helmetcity.com) currently have some nice simpson helmets on clearence. and most road courses don’t allow motorcycle helmets in cars… i never really found out why.

i thought the drag and road strips just needed a DOT approved helmet? 😕

no idea about the drag strip but i know beaverun does not allow motorcycle helmets in cars during open lapping days and driving schools… though you wouldn’t know it cause they rarely check what kind of helmet you have on.

Helmets designed for autos are designed and certified to withstand multiple impacts and are fireproof (nomex lining)…motorcycle helmets are not.

What are the differences between snell SA and snell M standards?
SA Standard was designed for auto racing while M Standard was for motorcycling and other motorsports. There are three major differences between them

SA standard requires flammability test while the M standard does not;
SA standard allows narrower visual field than M standard (Some SA helmets may not be street legal);
SA standard has rollbar impact test while M standard does not.

Go to Gatto’s bike shop in Tarentum. They have decent helmets there. ( I know it’s not online though)

I can’t remember…is that where you bought your helmet? I can’t remember what kind you ended up with.
I love my Bieffe Predator…very light and comfortable.

Check out the Gforce helmets. They are every bit as good as Simpson and Bell but they are much cheaper.

yeah I bought mine from helmetcity. Simpson Bandit N. I’ts a pretty nice helmet, I was trying to stay below 400 :eek:
