yea 30k a year to start a rookie cop. serving the community becuase he wants to help. and im glad to know that when you needed help they were there for you. back in the day when there was 4 cars per square mile. wonder if they would catch a mugger that quick now adays that the police force was cut. ---

Police do gotta put up with fucked up shit and at the same time there’s no need to treat us all like we are the fucked up shit. I do respect officers and i give them that respect when i am pulled over but the second they get the hard on cause they wear that shield its all out the window. ---

I found it on my own and they told me that story then when the realized what they said they quickly changed that. Their job was to find my fucken car and get it, not follow it. I don’t give a fuck if they wanted to get the guy on other shit. the day it was stolen you know what i found cops doing, sittin in remote places reading the paper. There are plenty of nice cops, people that truely are helpful but its seems like most of the cops i kno wpersonally are a few steps away from being criminals themselves. Don’t ever get into a wreck either, they will jerk you around, take ur shit to the pound if they feel like it. ---

they get that hard on and hide behind the shield because they dont really have any other option you are at the advantage when it comes to a pull over you know the cop is getting out of his car to come see you. that is how many cops are shot guy reaches down grabs a gun cop gets to the window bang shot car takes off officer left for dead. i know i put the most extreme examples up to make a point they deserve more then they get. professional athletes get how many hundreds of thousands of dollars maybe to do what play games??? maybe they should take a pay cut gives the team money to pay for there own fields doesnt rely on everyone else in the city. i feel bad that you had a horrible experience but at the same time when i was younger damn i got my fair share of raw deals im not gonna say i dont respect a entire group of people because of the one. as for a more normal example of what may happen. you get called to a bar fight someones bleeding they need help you left your equipment in the car. oo shit this guy might die if you dont help him hes out cold and noone really knows much more then his name. what do you do run out to the car and get your equipment no you cant not enough time . you are gonna have to try to help this guy and get medics so you are there playing in blood giving mouth to mouth to a guy who may or may not have aids or any simple illness. soemthing many people wouldnt think about then after that you have to go to the hospital get all checked out. that shield is made to protect the officer you arent supposed to fear it but respect it and most cops out there if you respect that shield they will respect you in return just listen to what they say ---

cops is no different than anyother things, you have the good and the bad. i’ve had my share of both. I just feel they have failed when i get treated like the guy who robbed the corner store. I respect the job as i would a priest, a doctor or a teacher. But back to how this realtes to PNC park. ---

ok i know what you are talking about when it comes to that stuff like i said im a cop… so this might surprise you. i was riding my cycle one day when i get pulled over im thinking no big deal jsut quick chat and let me go. well he starts looking at my bike and im like is there a problem. he goes we have a report of a bike that looks like this thats stolen. i go thats nice heres my idea my insurance my title to the bike and everything. they end up towing my bike and giving me over 1200 dollars worth of fines yea that was a good time and to think im one of them. then i had to pay towing fees and impound fees and everything else. the ripped my bike apart and gave it back broken and in pieced i tried to take them to court but nohting could be done. stay away from pine marshal bradford woods. anyways after all was said and done i told them where i bought the bike how long ago and that there were many more bikes at the place. state police raid the shop and get 5 stolen bike cocain guns fireworks and 3 guys go to jail it was in the paper months ago. anyways yea shit happens not everyone is terrific people have bad days ---

how it relates to the park like i said if you would even knock down the players salaries they are seriously over paid anyways then the money that goes toward tickets would be able to pay for a new updated stadium every couple of years this would prevent the city from saying they are going to do somethng they cant handle. like i said before i dont only blame the stadiums for the mess i do blame the city and im looking to leave pittsburgh within the next couple of months. i do think there was smarter ways to go about getting what they needed. and not doing what they wanted. and if they went with what was needed then the city would currently be in better shape ---

troopers get 2300 something while going through the tranning and then when they get out i do believe its around 45k. but local guys around here get jack i have a buddy that works for millvale getting like 25k for his first year its pretty sad ---

You know what forget it, I read all this garbage and its retarted. Cuts are happening every where. Cops being underpaid is not a new thing. Christ some places have part time cops getting paid 7 bucks an hour and working in worse conditions. If the town can;t pay they can;t pay, thats when you make a decsision on what you feel like working for. As for the getting shot at and being under paid. Buddy I worked in a place and field where I got shot at, made 8 bucks an hour, wasn’t allowed to carry a gun because its against the law, and I was there to save lives not end them. Did that for 16 months. You know what I opted to do. Get a better paying job in the same field else where. ---
