3rd period Accounting class. Someone was running down the hall poking their head into rooms telling teachers to turn on their TVs. Class was cancelled but we had to return to home room and sit there all day. ---

Cleaning carpets and the lady had it on. Thought it was a good movie she was watching:nuts: saw # 2 hit. then left and turned on howard stern as the buildings fell. Stern did a great commentary of no jokes and no BS. fell while i was on the ft. pitt bridge. Downtown traffic was fubar ---

I skipped school that day and was sleeping. My dad came in and woke me up and said we were being attacked and to turn on the TV. He left, I went right back to sleep until 2:00. Then I watched the TV some. That’s all I remember. ---

I was on a plane from PIT to LAX for a company meeting. 90% of our company was in the air when it all went down. I got diverted to Kansas City. Once landed, the first tower was going down. After it was confirmed as terrorist attack at the airport bar TV, I tried renting a car. They were gone completely within 100 miles. So I rented a U-Haul box truck and drove back to Pittsburgh with the speed governor limiting my progress. I remember coming through Indiana and Public Radio news saying that the Air Force base in Dayton was hit, too. And later to find out that was false info and they were just reporting anything that came in to them, hoax or not. A co-worker was on the plane out of Boston. The company set up a memorial fund in her name. I proposed to my wife the minute I got home. It was a life-changing moment. ---

CAD class in highschool. i was a senior. we watched cnn or msnbc every day. first plane hit right around the time my class started. i remember them coming on live saying that the north tower was hit by a “small jet.” a few minutes later, you could see the shadow of the second plane as it hit the south tower. the rest of the day was just a blur after that. ---

Was sitting in my IPC (intergrated phyicis and chemistrey) 11th grade year, they came over our loud speaker and said a plane hit the world trade center, so all the teachers turned on thier TVs in their room. Drove to auto tech next period at another campus, was told to go back to my home campus, ended up going home and watching it on tv, just in time to hear about the “plane” to hit the Pentagon. The weirdest thing was that my high school just had a disaster drill about a plane hitting our school. So I thought at first it was just another drill. ---
