# Wheres a good place to buy motorcycle tires

Ill be working on the bike soon and one thing im sure Ill need are tires. Where do you guys go?
OEM says
Fronts are 3.25-19
Rears are 3.75-18

the sizes you listed aren’t sold that way any longer, look for 100/90/19 front and 120/90/18 rear.
def. buy online, anywhere local is going to be a large markup. BUT I recommend taking them in to Empire Cycle on Southwestern in OP to have them mounted and balanced. He’s a fantastic old dude (Lee) with impeccable knowledge on these old bikes and runs a small small shop, I try to send any business I can to him…I’d say buy your tires there too but you’d only get Kendas there for what you can buy Avons for online.

Yea those #s came from a spec chart I found online.
I know nothing about bike tires. Is Avon a good brand? I see Avon and think of the make up company lol.
I dont need anything amazing since the bike probably wont see much road use.

Steve’s Custom Cycle on Robinson Rd. in Lockport has the hook up on Avon and other tires. They can mount and balance for you as well. Give them a call. 716-625-4372.

When picking a tire type, which do people typically go with for a Cafe? I understand every application/riding style is different.
Im looking under Cruiser and Vintage. Ive seen some cafes with Dual-Sport tires too (just for the look im guessing)
I think for everyday riding "vintag"e would probably work for me. Seems to be the cheaper style too.

Dude get the stickiest tires you can slap on there, if you are going cafe. Avon roadriders (i think) are what I have, and I LOVE them.

I’d worry about getting it running properly first.
As far as tires go, I really liked the Kenda Challengers that were on my red CB550. Those really handled well for being such a skinny tire and for what I put them through. For my Super Sport I’m going with a set of Dunlop K70’s for the “Vintage” look and the style of riding I’ll be doing with it…it’s just a cruiser.
This was on those Kenda’s but like I said I doubt that’ll be your style of riding.

To follow up on Gennaro’s post…those kendas he had came from my orange bike…I sold him all my good parts since I’m upgrading to monoshock and inverted forks…My earlier comment was in no way knocking Kenda’s, as I liked them as well…I was merely saying if you were going to spend what they cost to buy LOCAL, go online and buy Avon’s for that price…if trying to save $$ Kenda’s are a really good bang for your buck…don’t even consider Cheng Shin, they fucking suck.
