32GB for 500 bucks isn’t that bad. Just remember how expensive 1GB drives were when they came out… Probably going to make it hell for you to retrieve shit off of it though 🙂 ---

Seems to be where everyone is going these days. Apple has been trying to convert their iPods over to solid state memory. ---

magnetic storage reminds me of cassette tapes, and 8 tracks. SSD is deffinitely going to be bigtime soon. 500 bucks isn’t bad, but it will get dirt cheap in a couple years. ---

i would rather get samsung’s Hybrid Hard Drive featuring OneNAND flash memory as a non-volatile cache between the disk drive and the physical memory… pair it up with Microsoft Vista’s ReadyDrive technology… maybe also use Vista’s ReadyBoost? using flash memory (jump drive) about 2GB?
