I have come to believe its the wire closet to the left that discretly hides itself ? just want to confirm
As you can see i circled the area, is it hidden in behind there?

Right around there, below the coolant line, and behind those two thick wires.

Now apparently that is the cure to my shifting problem (auto) If i disconnected would it run? like is there a back-up intell i get a new one ?

I doubt its the TPS. My vert had a shifting problem when it was auto and I changed the TPS and it didn’t do anything. Just swap it to 5spd.

ya the tps has alot to do with the auto trans if u didnt have the tps hooked up the trans woundlt know when to shift like say it u had it a full throttle the tps would notice that and let the trans go all the way to redline then shift so if u have it at half throttle then the trans know to only shift at like 3000

My problem is , more than likely alot different than you.
There is a very common shifting problem that occurs with auto’s and is all over the nico forums, solutions too.
Unfortunately my problem is quite rare and the only accurate solution i have seen/come across was the TPS malfunctioning .

With that being said, my car does not know when to shift and default shifts at 6k every gear.

Mine would sometimes hold gears forever and wouldn’t even default shift. Good luck!

i wonder if thats my problem on very cold nights my car sticks in 3rd gear i manually shift it to 2nd but it doesnt down shift
