dollar for performance ratio on teh Z06 is higher than the ///M, you also blend into the driving around a stock vette while in your 40s crowd, also 500hp is not high horsepower anymore, 500hp you can do N/A in the Z, 800+ is high horsepower, plus you get the motor that is touched by the hands of god

M3 is more pimp…but not very mod-able i think…

Z06…much more performance…which is essentially what you’re concerned with when you say you plan on modding anyway i would assume…

I HATE the C5 interior, it’s crap horrible American crap, but in terms of performance the Z06 is on another level. Stock for stock I wouldnt even consider an M3 for a weekend play toy. It’s an amazing daily and the fit and finish is second to none, however, if it’s a weekend car I can forgive that. Besides, the Z06 is easier to work on, and if it’s a weekend car, chances are I’ll be doing much more wrenching. Not to mention it’s as fast in the corners and faster in a straight line.

z06 all the way, it will outperform the snot out of a m3. M3 is more of a refined driver. z06 is the choice for the weekend beast.

Before this weekend I would have said M3. After cruising around on saturday in a C5 Z06 I am very impressed with the car. Very easy to drive, nice butt dyno power and gets decent millage in the highway. I’d get the Z06. Better yet go drive one of each then decide.

I’ve driven both…and can say the ZO6 gave me the bigger boner, just more impressive all around. But I’m more a fan of the car that has that raw power feel…not so interested in the refinement of something like the M. I guess having driven a fox body Mustang for the past 10 years made me like this:)

doesnt it snow in all of germany?
(i could be very wrong??)

is an M really that much different than the regular 3 series?
i’m sure its much better, but why would’nt you drive it in the snow as you would a std bmw.

its not 50k… not for a c5 Z06.
you could probably get a newer one for 30-35
