# Who can Clean my D15 Head.... NOW

I need like a parts washer for a few mins to clean out my D15 head So i can prep it for goin in my car on Tuesday…

How bad is it? Could you just wipe it down with laquer thinner or brake parts cleaner

Thats where I would have done it. But I would use my own container. Crack a window too. When my mom throws away stuff like baking sheets I grab them and hide them in the garage. They have so many great uses

ended up using a sled. haha. not very clean tho. What else coul I use to clean off some of the carbon build up?
I already tried Carb and Choke Cleaner

Off the valve faces and roof pents in the combustion chamber of the head? Marvel Mystery oil, pour it on and let it soak for awhile…use brass wire brush to scrub clean then spray clean with BPC and wipe off. MMO softens carbon really well. Best thing you can do without dropping the head off at a machine shop to be disassembled and have it gone through properly(aka me down @ Hunts)

Dave Hunt is family. Small world eh 😉
I run my own business but I also put motors together for David down there from time to time. Was just down there putting an EJ25 together this past thursday. Also do my own work on the machines for Porsche/Audi/BWM stuff that I do personally here at the shop. Gary typically does the block/crank work and Scott does the head stuff along with Aaron(Davids son). You can usually catch me down there on an offday doing any number of stuff to engines I put together here. Gary will more than likely be doing any machine work on your bottom end. If you’re having the block assembled down there it’ll be done by either myself or my uncle(Mark Carignan) who also works there putting motors together. He’s retired now but still enjoys assembling a motor or two, mostly flatheads and old v8’s though.
Let me know when you’re going to drop the block off and I’ll stop down and give you a tour of the facilities.

i think i may be related to the Hunts as well. My grandmother was a hunt and i’m pretty sure kathy is daves sister, although i’ve never met him before.
