# Who is good with Jeep 4.7's ???

Hey Guys
Looking to get a water pump done in my 99 Jeep grand cherokee. I have the new factory pump but after looking at the engine bay, I really dont even want to try to do it haha. So I was wondering who on here is good with those engines or if anyone knew good reasonable priced shops to take it too. If anyone personally on here can do it toss me a price or a shop cause it will need done by the months end.

Thats a really easy job if you just remove the fan shrould (spell)…

I put a rad in when I got it (just to avoid the ever common failure) and you almost had to take the whole front end off… Thats why I would just rather pay a little and avoid the head ache hahaha…

the book calls 1.7 hours
i would do it if you wanted to bring it out here but sure you can find someone closer.

But I fuckin hate working on my own 4.7L. So it’s probably a bad idea.

i went to school for chrysler and was a jeep tech for 2-3 years. THose are not the easiest motors to work on, but the water pump isn’t as bad once you get all the gingerbread crap out of the way.
$40/hr x 1.7h (my normal rate) = $68, a cheap price to pay to avoid headaches.
…just hope in the future you don’t need to do the chains!!!
