# Who owns the wheel?

So as I was driving to Connecticut yesterday, opted not to listen to music for a bit and just take in the drive and my surroundings as I cruised down the 90 (not that there was much to see). However, I happened to drive by one car with a girl driving and upon a closer look, what appeared to be a huge d-bag in the passenger seat. I shouldn’t judge people just by the way they are sitting in a car, but this guy had the seat reclined way back but wasn’t sleeping, just chillin.
This got me thinking, how many of us (in a relationship) do a majority of the driving? Shortly afterward, I passed another couple with the girl behind the wheel. Not that I have anything against this, but I know that I probably do 99% of the driving if I’m together with my fiancee in the car, regardless of whose car it is (she has yet to learn stick). The only time she may do a little driving is if we’re on a rather long trip.
So I am curious now to see, how many of you guys out there do most of the driving? I actually enjoy it even if it’s in shitbox that I do drive. I think I would get bored otherwise if I was just the passenger.

I get car sick so I have to do most of the driving. If not I have to be in the pass seat and paying a lot of attention on the road ahead. Once I look out a side window it’s all over haha.

I drive my car, and 95% of the time I drive her car when we go anywhere. Every once in awhile i don’t mind being the passenger though, it just doesn’t usually happen that way

Only time I don’t drive is when I’ve had a couple. My wife rarely drinks so it works out well. I married a designated driver.

im teaching her how to drive, so sometimes im stuck in the passagner seat with my hand on the holy shit bars… i do 99.9% of the driving tho, and i love to drive so it takes the fun away when she drives

This. 4 or 5 years ago I was dating this girl who made me drive anytime we took her car. At first I thought it was weird, but then I grew to expect it and I have taught each subsequent gf the same thing. It got to the point where she would just hand me her keys if we were taking her car. Sometimes if I’m super beat or tired I make her drive but otherwise I expect to.
ESPECIALLY if its snowing. fuck, I do not trust any female driving in inclement weather.

I drive 99% of the time, when we drove here I drove all but maybe a couple hours here or there so I could grab naps, in Mexico for the first 2 months my wife was scared to drive as the “rules” here are different (aka nonexistent) but she came around to it. but still only drives when im not up for it. she makes a great navigator also… so no complaints.
Ill update this next week as we leave mexico to drive home tomarrow. see if she does more driving or not…

wtf, idk what to say, its only a 6 year difference, the only quesiton was how old was she when you first started dating her?
