indeed. The mu just isn’t high enough. You really need friction material there.

right. there is a reason why OEMs use clutch packs and spring blocks in LSD’s… it takes considerable force to make sure the wheels both spin.

[www.mcmaster.com](http://www.mcmaster.com) has friction material in various coefficients. (under raw materials: brake and clutch lining) i looked at this years ago. dunno if it will work though as i dont know if its meant to be wet. unless you have a machine shop at your disposal, the cost of machining the carrier, the gears and various other components is going to be close to buying a OBX, new diff bearings and races, pressing them on and buying the shims and installing them in the trans.

Neon trannies need .007" initial preload. once installed, use a torquewrench to turn the diff in the housing with no other gears installed. it should take 6-12 inlbs to turn it. if its too low, install a .002" thicker shim, too high, .002" thinner shim. dont stack the shims. youll need an assortment of shims to do this properly.

1. i really need an internship

2. ill prolli be callin up on civic si to do the job if you are reputable

you guys know a lot about this shit, i try to stay away from trannys
