I hate the blue painter’s tape. Its a paint to put on, take off, and if you leave it on too long there is glue all over or worse it pulls the clear off.
I use cheap dollar store PAM equivalent. You spray it on and wash it off. Don’t go crazy with it cause it can get sticky.
I let rubber stick to everything that’s not green. Free undercoating

I used the green tape from autobody stores and never had a problem with glue or peeling off clear lol

It has never happened to me but I have seen it happen. The quality of the paint may have been part of the issue as well.

IIRC, the green tape is what you want to use. The blue isn’t bad either, but I think the green is better .
