He’s saying that the change in flow direction will be \>90\*. Which is true. I’ve never seen someone refer to the angle through that, and not by the angle b/w the pipes though. ---

if you wanted to recreate that shape with a cnc bender, you would need to put a 120\* bend in it. ---
