# why is it..

that everytime i ask someone if they’ve heard of pittspeed they say
“ya. those people on there are a bunch of assholes that treat people like shit”
and they say its alot of drama…
i get almost the same exact words everytime lol,
are we too harsh on newbies? :itr41:

yeah…but this is a pretty accepting board:
there are people with slow econoboxes (me, Iceberg, anyone with a Cavalier)
fags (no time to list them all)
and we even let the mentally challenged post (Sam)
so, i don’t see why they’d be intimidated… 😃

people dont know how to accept their place in a group plus when it comes to cars everybody thinks their car is the greatest and they think they can do everything the best.

It seems like pitspeed is more of a fraternity than a car club to me. _shrugs_
And the ratio of “car stuff” to “OGs doing off-topic stuff” seems to suggest that.

but in the same respect, i’m not going to sit here and post tons of information on vw’s or 1.8t’s or different vw models i know about… that’s what a vw related site is for ([vwvortex.com](http://vwvortex.com) or [vwsport.com](http://vwsport.com))… i’ll post solutions to people that ask a specific question, but we don’t want drowned in all car make and model’s BS info that most people would say :gives:
