He threw the M&H slicks on the car, turned the boost up to 16.5lbs, armed his 35 shot of nitrous, revved the car close to 7000 rpm and when the light turned green he let-er rip!! Not only did he beat his previous record, he shattered it! He crossed the finish line in 11.5 seconds at 121mph!!! Worlds fastest maxima runs 11.5!!! actually he has only spend about 5 grand…i talked to him on [Maxima.org](http://Maxima.org)…all he has is a good turbo kit…he meticulously picked out his turbo…and a nitrous kit…he has been tuning for a while…his next plans are 3.5 turbo ---

you should have posted the whole article where it says he has an internally bone stock motor…oh another mod he has is a variable intake…thats it…if u ask me its not bad for a car meant to haul old ladys and groceries ---

All im pointing out is using the maxima for a straight line performance platform is kinda pointless. Its impressive, but kinda meh… edit: The money would have gotten him farther if he had made a nice autox car out of it IMO ---

but thats the thing though…he prolly set his goals to have an 11 sec maxima…not an auto-x car…now me I am gonna make mine an auto-x car thats just his brand of beer that he chose…i agree a maxima is neither a drag car or auto-x car…but its somethign u dont see very often is a relatively fast maxima on the strip or killing cones…now i am by far not fast on the auto-x courses but i will get there it takes time… ---
