# will 225 tires fit on a 215 rim

I need new tires and the tires i have now are 215 they are fairly streched but there on there.

anyways will the 225 fit?

how wide are the wheels? i wouldnt run a 225 on anything skinnier than a 7"

Yah man, I run 225’s on a pair of 7"ers that I have (they might even be 7.5, haven’t measured them yet…).

They fit very nicely. They might roll a little bit more than the 215’s depending on the rating or the tire and the stiffness of the sidewall.

I had 215s on a 6" wide wheel, but generally tire size will depend on what you plan on doing with the car.

Obviously a smaller series tire will allow for a much stiffer sidewall with less flex and a larger series tire will allow for more grip/traction.

yeah, I ran 225’s on the stock S14 rims (6.5" wide) for a long time and they were fine.
