Are you a student? That’s your best price…or find a friend that is a student.
Otherwise you could probably slip an OEM copy online even though you’re not a “system builder”.
Win 7 might be hard to find used.

Yup…those are OEM.
Technically you aren’t a system builder I’m willing to bet, so they aren’t fully “legal”. But they don’t track that crap at all, for all intents it’s legit. 😉

I did one student copy for $10 for Win 7 Ultimate and took a chance on buying just a product key on eBay for a 2nd computer I needed to build. Paid $15 for a "guaranteed’ product key, guy emailed it to me about 5 minutes after buying it, worked perfect.
EDIT: Don’t see any keys on ebay right now. I think they get pulled pretty quickly, but they get reposted a lot.

Unless someone has a compelling reason to use 64 bit (4gb+ ram etc…)
I’d run 32 bit. 64bit has given me some compatibility drama, though minor compared to xp 64 bit when it 64 bit first came out. LOL

Been running 7-64 on my server at home with no issues. I don’t play games on it though.

I haven’t really seen any 64 bit compatibility issues sine vista 64 gold. SP1 and SP2 did great things.
