The S13 I recently bought came with tinted windows. I was able to peel, or scrape all the tint off the two side windows, but on the rear I cant get any of it off. And when some of it does finally peel off, only a layer of it comes off, and it leaves another layer behind.

Is there anything I can put on the window to help it peel off easier? I dont want to scrape it too hard because Im worried that the defrosters will rip off with it.

Any ideas?

DO NOT SCRAPE the back window, you will wreck the defrosters! use a heat gun hair dryer might work i used a heat stripping gun, that worked best.

heat up the outside part of the window where you want to strip it off and peel it on the inside.

Tried the hair dryer… Nothing. Maybe if we can get our hands on a heat gun…

on mine with auto salon, I think the upgraded tint at 20%, for removal and tinting of the rear 1/4’s and hatch was 200. I think removal is like 60 bucks. Well worth it, especially if you’re not familiar with what is going on. Not worth the risk for me so I forked over the 60 bucks or whatever it as

When i was thinking of doing it myself, I remember seeing a lot of stuff on using ammonia and a garbage bag and letting it sit in the sun for a while. Try searchin google on it, sounds so familiar
