I just ths my thought id give you guys my .02 on windows 7. They have an upgrade currently for every student thats only 30 dollars. This OS is the fastest ive ever used its insane when transitioning from XP to 7. If you guys can get it i would highly reccomend it but make sure you back up your work and know how to get microsoft office back on your comp.

I agree. I have windows 7 on my work computer and i like it. Lots of cool little things. No annyoing bugs so far

I don’t usually touch anything from MS until at least after a year they launch anything. I am glad I never touched Vista, and I will get 7 when Windows 8 releases…:rofl

Absolutely worth getting away from Vista.
Windows 7 is as good or better than Windows XP SP3, and better than ANYTHING Windows Vista offers.
Runs great, have not crashed once in 3 weeks, and all software/devices seem to work (except for my card reader, which wouldn’t even work on XP SP3).

Search…click the start button and start typing (don’t even have to click in the search field). I didn’t like the ‘new start menu’ at first, but this search makes it easy to run a program right quick.
I personally just like the more artistic look/feel to it. Aesthetics are important to me in a lot of things…how my PC looks, cars, etc.

I had a student version of XP SP2 (which is meant to be installed 234234234 times) that I used to install on my private customers’ PC’s ([www.ilyakol.com](http://www.ilyakol.com) /end shameless plug :rofl)
One day though, the disk just stopped working…and it wasn’t even scratched since I keep everything immaculate. This forced me to get XP SP3 and that version I downloaded had issues with activation and the Genuine Windows Advantage crap.
The Windows 7 above activates itself and runs perfectly. No issues with updates, etc.

ImgBurn to burn the .iso file that comes from the archive
A blank DVD+R disc
