I noticed today that my windows have a lot of not so faint vertical scratches on the outside, you can not feel them but they are there.

These are the windows in the door

If they’re tinted, it’s the film getting scratched and there’s nothing you can do about it short of re-tinting.

If they’re not tinted, this does happen slowly over time as rocks, sand and grit get in the window seals and are dragged across the surface of the window as it’s moved up and down. Take your window seals off and clean them. Then use some mild polishing compound (2000 or so) and a clean rag to polish the scratches out of the glass. Clean the window with windex or whatever, and put the window seals back on. Should get rid of the visible streaks/scratches and help prevent them from coming back for a while.

If they are in a band that runs up and down it will prolly be the felt in the door that holds the window in place has worn out.
