my windshield wipers and washer stopped working. i turn on the car and get nothing when I turn either on. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I looked at the FSM and it says to check the wiper amplifier, but I can’t find where it is located or what it looks like. Can anyone help or give suggestions?

the intermitant wiper control box (usually green but i think I have also seen black) is usually located next to the clutch/brake masters in the engine compartment, otherwise I have seen them on the opposite side next to the wiper motor.

You could also use a 12V test light to check that the fuses are good, and there is power at the wiper motor/spray motor.

outta curiosity, would this have anything to do with the sprayer not spraying? My car’s fluids wont spray…front or back…

not spraying, if the fuse is okay is more than likely totally corroded pumps/and harness plugs. Common on S13’s

So this is what I have figured out. on the main plug on the steering wheel column for the wiper/washer lever there are 8 wires going into the plug. 2 of the wires have electicity when the car key is turned on. I’m assuming 1 is for the wipers and 1 is for the washer. I am also assuming that when I turn on the wiper or washer it should complete the circuit and send electicity down 1 of the other wires to activate the wipers or washer. Does that sound right to you guys? I also checked at the fuse panel and there is electricity at the wiper fuse. I’m thinking that probably the wiper/washer lever switch on the steering wheel is gone considering neither my wipers or my washer is working.
What do you guys think?
