I looked at the FSM and it says to check the wiper amplifier, but I can’t find where it is located or what it looks like. Can anyone help or give suggestions?

the intermitant wiper control box (usually green but i think I have also seen black) is usually located next to the clutch/brake masters in the engine compartment, otherwise I have seen them on the opposite side next to the wiper motor.

You could also use a 12V test light to check that the fuses are good, and there is power at the wiper motor/spray motor.
