Well, it’s not gettin’ 5 mpg when it’s at WOT. The BSFC for a motor like that might be in the 1lb/h/hp range. So, at WOT, 200mph it ought to use about 2000lbs/h, which is ~333gallons. IOW, about 0.6 mpg.
