Child or adult, people need to be held accountable for their actions and stop blaming them on canned answers about ADD or any other bullshit “medical” excuse. Society, family, etc have gotten lazy and now therapy is in pill form since attention is too time consuming.
I don’t remember through my high school years hearing as many cases of bullshit ADD, ADHD, or Bipolar diagnoses.
I think it’s more of a case of parents getting lazy and not being responsible for their children.
And if I had a younger sibling that was a problem child, I would try to be as much as a positive influence in their life so they didn’t do things like he did. But you can probably assume that the parent aspect was absent in this case.
So yes, a child was killed. One that held a gun to an officers head. Do I agree with him getting killed, yes. If the officer didn’t react, it would have been him which I would have actually felt remorse for him and his family.

New York State would have charged this criminal as an adult had he succeeded in his attempt at robbery. While I agree it is very much his parents fault where he ended up, they can only be blamed so much. Everyone, even at the age of 15 can make there own decisions.

True. It sucks when anyone dies, but in this case it was him or the cop. The cop wasn’t the one making the initial stupid decision.

The “kid” was 15 and at 15 I had 3 jobs, was giving my parents money for school and sure as shit knew what was right and what was wrong. This “kid” knew what he was doing and I’d bet he had done it before… he got what he deserved. if he were a member of my family I would be more upset at him for being a moron and putting that cop in a position where he had to shoot.

I have _ **NOT** _ once justified the kid nor said oh wow i hope this is my little brother. I stated A. his parents are fuck ups B A CHILD has died so keep the crusades against america’s criminals to another thread. He held a gun to a cops head. Should the cop have given him a hug instead? Rule out everything, his age, race, family background, etc. He was a delinquent that was out at 2:45 in the morning that put a gun to someones head. No remorse.
And I’m parallel to the topic on the accident on the 290 where the 30 year old that was drunk drove the wrong way on the 290 killing an innocent woman. He had 2 kids and a family. She was going to get married the next weekend. Both doed. I feel her death was not warranted. His death on the otherhand was due to his stupid actions and unfortunately he took someone else with him.
People make stupid decisions and excuses are just bullshit to cover their actions. People should be held Accountible for their actions. Drive drunk, there will be consequences. Try to rob someone with a gun, there will be consequences. Have unprotected sex, there will be consequences.

My only disagreement is that he is no longer a child. At the age of 15 you do know the main differences between right and wrong, regardless of your upbringing.
