A 2 stroke sounds right up your alley Wayne. How about a 3 wheeler? Little bit lighter than a quad… probably make for a better racer.

Perhaps a 6 wheeler would be more your liking?? What about when you reach large bodies of water on your quad? Are you going to turn around and go home?? I DON’T THINK SO. For merely DOUBLING your budget… you can have a gorgeous 6 wheeled ALL terrain vehicle like this bad boy

After reading through this thread, it doesn’t sound like you have the experience to be riding an all terrain vehicle. Perhaps a bicycle is more your speed. Here’s a nice one that comes in right under your budget!
