No offense, but, this is kind of hypocritical, You drive a srt-4.
I’d say an e36 is one of the most “fun” cars you can drive. (i’ve driven a lot of cars)
Sure it’s slow…and not the BEST handiling car in the world, but the “feel” of an M car is something you just can’t get in any other car.
I’m sure bmw owners will attest to this

Also: to the owner, you can pick up an early 2000’s 3 series for around that price… they are VERY nice, more “classy” and daily driver-ish than an e-36

Actually Car & Driver voted it the E36 M3 best handling car in the world back in 1997. I can’t find a link to the whole article, but here was the results page.

And I agree, my E36 M3 is an awesome drivers car. Sure its not the fastest, but it more than makes up for it in driving feel.

Have to disagree. Having owned both for multiple years, I prefer my E36 over my old E30.

it’s a somewhat impossible comparison… they each have their own advantages.

I prefer my e36 to my e30 as well in terms of dd. but my claim was made solely in “fun.”

They are probably selling because they want to buy an ///M.
