# WTB: 98-02' Trans Am/Camaro

Well Im being realistic in a sense that I need a real DD. My K10 is lucky to get 10 mpg, and when my 86’ is done (hopefully by mid summer) itll get worse than that. Now Im not all about picking up a cheap import, because I do want a decent vehicle for a DD. Besides, theres nothing better than V8 power. 🙂
So Ive decided to start looking for a 98-02’ Trans am/Camaro. Needs to be an LS1. Hopefully 01-02’ but Ill take what I can get. I like the Trans Ams more than the Camaros, but I wont pass up a deal on a Camaro. Preferably 6 Spd, but Ill take an auto for the right price. Id like less than 100k cuz Ill be putting miles on it myself, but again for the right price Ill work with it. Ram Air hood is almost a must. Not really picky on the color, but Id like the body to be in good shape. Needs to have a clear title. Not picky if its stock or modded, just let me know whats all done. Hard Top or T Tops not interested in Convertibles.
Looking to spend between 8-15k. A price right in the middle would be the best. Ill be paying in the ball park of 6k cash, the rest Ill have to finance.

my buddy has a black 02 z28 auto t tops with 138XXX miles has 97 style wheels (salad shooters) and some one painted some parts on dash orange or red i think he looking for around 6500 obo thats all i know if your interested email me at [nick1909@hotmail.com](mailto:nick1909@hotmail.com) and i will try and set something up for you to look at it car is in the north hills

There is a red 98 6M at the lot my uncle works at. Has high miles (140k) but is in really good shape. If you’re interested I’ll get you in touch with the place. I think they are asking $5000.

Eh…send some pics to my email and Ill look it over. Kinda high miles and not my style wheels but not a bad price.

Haha Ive actually been watching it on Craigslist for the last few months. How streetable is it being it has a 4k stall speed? MPG? Only reason I havent contacted you was because Im looking more for a DD.

the camaro runs and feels nice with the 4000 in it. i drove it alot when the weather is nice but i also have a 09 honda fit so thats why i dont daily the camaro. i have also got 16-17 mpg with it driving it to and from the track let me know if you want to see it… pm me your number if you want talk it over

buy it and swap out the trans 🙂 Th400 isnt the best idea for daily driving with 4.10 gears. I’d put a 60E behind it with a 3000 stall speed converter and call it a day. Cam is a pretty nice sized cam for a dd, alittle big but should be dd capable

Only thing stopping me from picking this up is the converter, and that the car doesnt have overdrive. If it had any lower of a stall speed and an overdrive tranny Id be all over this. 😕 Besides, this would be my daily and probably be just as fast or slightly faster than the car Im building lol. Lol and make another project? Haha Id love to but then my other car would be put on the back burner even longer. Im really trying to find one I can jump in and drive away haha.

I work 7-7 tomorrow, so if I dont answer its busy at work. If its slow I can answer, if not just text me I can do that. Im off Sunday we might be able to meet up then. if its the car i think it is. It was picked up for 2500 prior to ending up on that lot. think it needs a fender
