Audis with the 2.8 (properly maintained of course), are very reliable. The 1.8T’s biggest issue was people were lazy with service, and a lot of timing belts broke. Older 1.8Ts had oil sludge problems too, but if you use full synthetic you’re fine. If you have a 1.8T but take care of maintenance, both immediate and preventative, you’ll be good to go. Audis are tanks if cared for properly. The only thing I would worry about on an older 1.8T in that price range is that you’re going to get a car with a lot of miles and who knows if the owner(s) took proper care of the turbos? On the up side, if you needed to replace your K03 turbo, if you buy a used one you can get it for cheap. The labor is another story though… Good luck, there’s a ton of B5 A4s for sale, just gotta keep looking 🙂 ---

Swaping a k03 for a k03 is easy probably 3-4hrs of work… ---

my friend derrick had one for sale he jus called me about it today. i think it use to belong to jkuz its a 5 speed and i think a 1991 he wants 800 bux for it. edit i think 91crxsi knows about this car too i think he helped wit work. ---
