# WTB: Cheap beater car

I want to buy a cheap beater car. I want to spend 3 figures on it, preferably the lower end of 3 figures (\<$500). It needs to be some sort of cheap to insure car like a J body.

I’m not too picky as long as it doesn’t need any major work (engine/tranny swap), runs fine and isn’t a Civic or a Chrysler. I’m completely fine with it needing brakes, a tune up and it having a pushed in fender.

Owner of Certified Transmission was selling a cavalier 5spd with 180 or so clicks…  
$1200 clean by the looks of it. Doesn’t need anything swapped and is a perfect beater

i have a 500 dollar maxima i could sell ya. needs a bit of work but there is a shit load of 4th gens out there and tmec for support.

needs a few thungs but runs and drives, will pass etest  
you can get it to pass safety with the right mech

Race civic? Because it’s stripped and looks like complete shit? It has a D15/6 in it? Woopeshit it has V-tec. Nice race car.

I’ll give you 100 and use it as a derby car. As long as the wheel base is under 105" I believe is the rule
