I want to build an coffee table out of an engine block. The more interesting the better. V12, V8? Preferably aluminum and European. Something not useable for a core is even better. ---

Just the block? We have some crap at the machine shop i could likely pull something from. Also have a bunch of crap cast cores like rods, cranks, cams, etc, etc. Shit is just sitting in the scrap metal bins. I do have an S52 block that’s toast here, but it’s iron not AL. just taking up space at this point. I could hot tank it and sheel shot blast it clean for a nominal fee so it’d be clean and ready for paint. also have a blown suby case, 2.5L Could make a nice split base table from it Off the top of my head I’m not sure what else i have, but I have to go to the machine shop again on monday and can take a peek at what’s kicking around. ---

Seen it done online seen it done in person Always comes out great. Typically a SBC is an easy and cheap route. 350’s are a dime a dozen. Have the connecting rods hold up the piston as you mount them on the block. Piston swivel will support the glass table. ---

Hot whip. I’ve got a smoked M52 (you can tell everyone its an S52) block you can have but it’s in VA…and heavy.
