rather than looking to borrow one, i’d rather just buy one if i can get a decent price…
750lb capability should be fine
i’ve seen a bunch on ebay for great prices, but i dont feel like waiting a week or two for it to come in, and dont wanna pay $50 to have it rush delivered…i was hoping to get it for this coming weekend so i can start working right away.
the best price i could find so far was a $40 pro-lift stand at advance auto parts…
i’ll probably end up getting that one, but i figured i’d check on here to see if there are any good used ones that people have laying around they’re looking to get rid of, or if anybody on here knows of a place locally i can get a better one for a similar/same/better price…

I bought my engine stand from AutoZone for $40 and haven’t had any probs with it. For jack stands, I like the craftsman 3 1/2 ton ones … just so you can jack your car a little higher. I have the 2 ton ones, but can barely get under the car when it is fully jacked.

I got my jackstands from harbor freight, they are pretty heavy ones for like 15 at the time way better than the ones i have seen cheaper at the auto parts stores. Thats one tool that harbor freight carries that is really quality.
