I have an Acer 17" Widescreen w/80gb HD and 2gb of Ram with built-in wireless for $200. Problem is it has 2 lines down the side of the screen. I have been using it like that for a year. The cable may just need to be reseated for the LCD but I haven’t looked. The lines came and went for a while. Now they are on all the time. They would show when I opened the lid past halfway. model is 9500

oh and the round spot on the touchpad button is where my thumb wore the paint off
