# WTB: MIG Welder

Looking for a MIG Welder. I want to stay with 120V for the conveince. I looking to pick up something along the lines of a Lincoln 140 or simular. I want to stay under $400 if possible. Prefer it to include the Argon/co2 tank, but not needed.

check out that hobat 140 LKSi has FS… it will work decent and is in your range.

I talked to him a few days ago, Justin from Metal Supa markets right? He said he sold it already. ☹
either way, that hobart is the exact same thing as the lincoln 140; 4 heat ranges and wire speed @ 140amps DC. BINGO

Ok thanks, saves me a call. Yea I will prob go with Lances then, just awaiting my check now. Happen to know what a leased tank would go for? I mostly deal with AirGas for my refills for my torch (I own the tanks though).

i have a 120 welder in my garage that i have used once i think. like brand new. its a weldmark 140 (same unit as a hobart 140 made by hobart)

I was wondering the same thing… I sold my 80 tank with the tig, and the new machine will be here in a few days so I want to get another tank, big one this time.
what size and how much was it?

Yea thats filled and owned. I haven’t a clue on what there bigger one goes for. The 60 is the smallest they had, I needed something easily portable.

I lease/rent a 60, it was 80 bucks out the door. This way if anything ever goes wrong with the bottle i just swap it out. I just take in that bottle an they swap it out for 30 bucks, in an out in minutes. Im drawing a blank on the name, but its out of scotia. However at work we use nothing but AirGas.

Yea AirGas swaps out the tanks no matter if you lease or own them, so there always up to date. They wont fill on site.

I ended up going to JR’s Welding in balston spa. I go there alot because they are open on sat and i cant get anywhere else on weekdays while I am at work. And they were the only ones around that would SELL a 120 tank. Cryo weld in Menands only sells 80’s. They lease 120’s but wanted a $200 deposit and $55 a year. Airgas was $60 a year with $100 down, also wont sell over a 80 bottle.
JR sold me the bottle filled for $179 + $40 for a fill. they also refill on the spot. The owner is a good guy and even purged his fill lines for me, purged the tank prior to filling with 100% argon.
Best price, only ones that would sell a big tank outright I could find. WIN WIN
