This is kind of a feeler thread just to see if anything interesting is out there. Tell me what you have and the kind of condition. I prefer Mopars, but may be willing to compromise. I want a 2 door from the sixties or seventies, and I like challengers, chargers, coronets, etc. Thanks

QFT
Shells that are rotted out of the popular old Mopars such as Chargers/Challengers/Cudas/roadrunners/GTXs/SuperBees ect go for upwards of $5000
I recommend going 64.5-66 Barracuda. Their market hasn’t exploded like the other Mopars, and are pretty unique.
They are also pretty small and light.
Here’s a whole functioning car for less than what say a rotted 68 charger shell would go for:

You can find b bodys needing work for less than $5,000.Just takes alot of looking.Heres my old 69 coronet that i payed $2,000.After about 6,500 more into it it looked lke this.

I totally understand the cost, especially of Mopars, but this is something that I will building up over a period of 4 to 10 years. I’m not in a hurry so its not a big deal.

I would suggest that when looking that you look everywhere.Dont just look on ebay,people spend alot more on there than what you can usually find from a private person.It all depends on what body stlye you like also.A bodys(darts,dusters) are alot eaiser to find and are alot cheaper,also C bodys are cheap.The B bodys are the ones most people want so finding one at a decent price is harder.

There is a 2 door Imperial I believe here with no motor, decent body for $1500, but probably would take less (binghamton). Also a 4dr charger with aluminum wing and racing stripes for $3250

I love A bodies, and I had a C body for a little bit. Yeah I go around my neighborhood and beyond just on my bike or walking, and look in garages and backyards. Thanks for the craig posts as well.

does anyone know if there is a place u can look up old VIN numbers? bec i got the vin from my dad’s 73 dart he sold about 10 years ago but it won’t work on carfax because it is too short…vins back then were not the standard 17 characters like today…i was just gonna try to look it up and see where it went after he sold it

The only thing i know you could do is if you know any police officers they might be able to run the vin and see if its been registered.I know my father did this for his camaro and he was able to trace it back quite a few years.

ya i thought of that and have a friend i could use but i just didnt know if there was another site out there…figured there was not
