# WTB: New Laptop

K, so this is going to replace my P4, Sony Vaio, 40 GB HD, 512 ram…
I dont want a huge laptop, I need decent battery life, I want to pick this up saturday afternoon probably, and I want to keep it under 1000 preferibly closer to 600-700 before taxes.
What else should be a determining factor?
Any insight is appreciated.
Best buy? Office Depot? Circuit City? Like i said, i just want to pick this up from a local store, unless there is a deal online that is outstanding in comparison.

Will Call me tomorrow, I’ll talk to you about this laptop business and get you the CORRECT laptop and not some bullshit someone is going to suggest.
DO NOT go to a local store around here btw the prices are inflated. Just call me tomorrow

something newer… that gets better battery life and is a bit smaller/lighter… this thing has been good to me, but its 5 years old now, time to get something newer. I need it for work, so i dont want to need to keep it plugged in after 30 minutes.

Exactly the reason why I don’t trust friends taking advice from “people” Not a direct shot, but its like saying you have a corvette, it works great for you… but it could be anything from 30 years old to 2 days old
this time globally, under the new VAIO brand, started in 1996.

I wasnt trying to give him advice, just asking if he had any problems with it. I wasnt sure how old it was.
