blackturboneonII, if you are interested in purchasing a better radar detector, but don’t have that kind of cash up front, you might be interested in my services. I own Radars for Rent ([http://www.radarsforrent.com](http://www.radarsforrent.com)), a company that primarily rents radar detectors on a short term basis. However, we’ve also been doing a rent-to-own program for a few, select individuals recently. Send me a PM if you are interested… we carry models such as Valentine 1, Escort (both the newest 9500i and the 8500 x50) and Beltronics and I can price it out to you either over one, 1 1/2 or 2 years depending on your budget. Don’t let the upfront cost of a good detector keep you from driving wisely in your new car! ---

I’ve already discussed it with them over a year and a half ago, but they still haven’t gotten banners running again, which is what I was interested in. Otherwise, I only mention it when someone asks, someone else brings it up, or it is directly relevant to the topic/original post. If a mod so chooses to delete my post, I will certainly understand. The OP could obviously benefit from my services, otherwise I would not have brought it up. ---

i have a passport 8500 and i love it…it’s saved my ass a bunch of times, oh and they are cheaper than a v1. ---
