My cams have too much lift for stock lifters. I re bled the stock lifters and it was fine for a while. After a few high RPM pulls the lifters started knocking again and the car started running like garbage.

maybe you just need to get bigger shims,check your cam to shim clearances, are they within proper spec?
Downside is solid lifters are NOISEY for a street car and hard on your valvetrain (dont expect to get high mileage or long engine life out of that motor) but you will be able to rev that badboy up to 9k easily with other supporting mods.🙂

Yeah, I am prepared to reshim the solid lifters every 7-10k. As long as they are maintained and shimmed properly they shouldn’t give any problems.
The cams I’m using have a 12mm lift and all the people I spoke to have suggested going solid.

If they’re $250 USD you’re going to be just over $300 cdn. You wont find a ‘deal’ on Tomei stuff anywhere… not on something like this. It’s not something JRP would stock and run a sale on.
