You’re going to have to buy a portable one, the kind where just hoses go out the window. I’ve never seen a traditional window AC less than 16" wide.

Something like this:
[http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=112247-80003-PAC%20A110&lpage=none](http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=112247-80003-PAC%20A110&lpage=none)

Or this:
[http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100522320](http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100522320)

EDIT: If the window opens really high you might be able to get a casement window style like this:
[http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=165394-70213-FAK104R1V&lpage=none](http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=165394-70213-FAK104R1V&lpage=none)

I went through this a couple summers ago trying to find one for my grandparents summer cottage that has tiny little slider windows.
