i have one lying aroiund, just re-wired a rear windiw, interior antena, and remembered about an FM modulator my buddy gave me a while back. i figure it helps with reception, or gives surrond sound qualities or something, by just look at all the wires and rca’s that needed to be hooked up. i just don’t understand if you need to hook it up to the audio IN on the back of my deck, or hardwire it to my exisitng antenae wire, or both? and what is the purpose of it? my reception is amazing now, i get a bunch of NY stations after hooking up my new antena (i shaved my old manual antena off, thats why i did it). anyway, if u guys have any experience with these modulators, i’d appreciate a reply. and what are they worth? its a clarion ---

IIRC an fm modulator transmits a certin freq to your headunit, in which you can hook up a tv ot mp3 player for example to it and it allows you to hear it through your stereo once tuned into that freq. ---
