# wtf is with all the troopers on the northway

In the past few days it seems like theres troopers everywhere on the Northway pulling cars over constantly.
Is this some kind of sting operation or the way its going to be?
I drive the northway everyday to and from work and a good part of the day during work.

there are always a ton more around this time of year. Increased traffic calls for increased patrols. T’is the season.

I’ve noticed a lot more troopers in general pulling people over. But people drive even more retarded than usual this time of year, maybe it’s a good thing they are doing something about it.

Yeah, I was comming home from work and say 2 troopers on the northbound lane that had people pulled over not even a half mile apart, and another one on the southbound lane pulling someone over, and then 1 in 2 differant uturns between 25 and 25A

yea i enjoy falling in and out of sleep up the northway at 5 am to see a trooper chillin in a service turn around area backed into some tree’s and completely turned off… wakes ya up quick when you only see them once your ontop of them

Do you work up in Queensbury? I saw a car on 258 that looked like yours a week or so ago.
Im always half asleep/half awake driving to work on the northway. I start at 5 so I leave my house around 4:30. Once Im in the truck at work I drink an energy drink or two and Im ok.
The troopers do have some nice hiding spots north of Saratoga.

this is true, monthly quotas dont exsit nonn the less their illegal…
but i know say with rotterdam when my dad retired in 2000 they would like you to at least get 10 tickets a month

I asked my cousin and there is a recommended amount of tickets. He’s a Saratoga County Sheriff but he’s in Iraq now (army reserves).

I don’t see how cops would have trouble meeting quotas if there were any. I see plenty of people doing retarded things that are ticket worthy.
I know if I were a cop I would be giving tickets left and right. Maybe that’s why everyone hates lady cops… :ponder

All i know is the next time that lady cop in schenectady pulls me over for my exhaust ima giva her a nice kick in the baby maker.

I noticed it as well. I went up to Saratoga the other day and saw about 6 on my drive up. I took route 9 back home and didn’t pass one.
