try driving a triple axle motorhome, towing a triple axle trailer. it’s close to $70. Truckers HATE the thruway. ---

I think you can take the 90 all the way to the west coast. That’d be sweet if it was just one toll. But it’s by state. ---

The “90” goes to Seattle I think or a west coast city that is in the northern part I thought. Its a bunch of changes between tolls and stuff because each state is different but from what I remember, it goes from Boston to Seattle. ---

all he had to do was say he didn’t hqve the money. worst case they mail him the bill as well. i’ve gone through and forgot i had no cash on me ---

People will just drive less and the numbers are already proving this. They can raise tolls if they people will either just not take the trip or avoid the 90 altogether. ---

I think I scrounged about $.44 from the car in small coins, tossed it in the toll taker’s hand, and burned rubber out of there before he could count it. Didn’t know what else to do. Nothing ever came of it.:mamoru: ---

Sounds like this guy was just mad at how much the toll was rather than not having the money. Even if you take the thruway from NYC to Buffalo its about $17. This person must have been towing something which made the toll higher than normal. ---

I’m pretty sure it’s $35 plus the toll. So if you go from LA to Blasdell and accidentally go through the EZ pass, they send a bill for $35.15. For $35, it’s amazing how many people will back out of the EZ pass lane in heavy traffic. If it was $1 or something it would probably reduce accidents. I once watched a Canadian back out, almost into the bumper of a state trooper. Cop backed up and let him switch lanes. ---

I remember driving through the illinois “skyway” IE; rape you, where there is a toll every coupe miles. one toll was like ~$4 and I didn’t have the money and they don’t accept credit, so she made me get out of the car and write down my plate number, she took down my info, ect… took like 4 minutes and everyone behind me was so pissed. I may or may not have mis wrote my plate number. and never mailed in the cash. I now don’t drive through chicago ---

They hit you for like $0.10 at a time but you can drive down the highway at 75 mph and dont even slow down which really helps traffic.
