The major thing they were pissed about is my recent lack of participation. There were a few times when I was at the hall hanging out when there were calls and I did not go, but only becuase I had either recently had a few drinks, or was drinking at the time the call came over the pager. Can’t respond if you have any alcohal in your system. But like I said…I did what I could between working fulltime at DL and landscaping with my dad on my days of from DL. It just wasnt good enough for them.

i know this isnt what you want to hear, no one likes to get bashed, but in all honesty… all ive read in this thread is about how you dont know why you got booted, you think youre getting screwed. yet youve posted reasons why you could get the boot… esp the last one… if i know i could get recalled for military duty, im not drinking, im not touching a drop cause i can get slammed for it.
if youre on duty and waiting around for calls, its your responsibility to ensure youre ready to go when time calls… you know the rules on drinking obv and yet you were not prepared when the time came for you to do your job… i dont want to hear about how other people drink there as well… this is about your situation.
im not trying to blast you, but you need to realize its not going to change and instead of trying to figure out why they had it out for you… think about some of the things you said you did that you “thought” may have triggered it, and move on… try some other place and see if you can get in with a clean slate…
you didnt waste 5 yrs. you gained 5 yrs of experience, if you think of it as a waste, then you obv werent in it for the right reasons.
chalk it up on things you cant change and press on…

1. You were busy.
2. You were drinking their beer.

Yeah we well…they…have a labatte blue keg on tap. Its got a lock though, and i never got my key. Anytime I was drinking down there there were other people and they always had theirs.
