Attention to all that have recently bought an Xbox 360, Do not use this system standing vertical, if any movement is made to the system while a disc is spinning, you will hear a grinding sound and that is the outer edge of the disc being severely scratched. When it tries to read that portion of the disc it will crash. I found this out while at the Game Crazy at transit and loson, my friend who works there moved it for a second and it tore the edges up on one of their demo discs, they also received a call from one of their customers because his copy of perfect dark was scratched the same way. Luckily a disc buffing repaired the customers game back to new. Protect your games by playing the system on its side and not vertical. ---

wow, that’s not a good news. so, the system will always do that if you turn it vertical? ---

you can use it vertical but if it gets jostled or tilted in anyway, there is a good chance you will ruin your disc. ---

HAHA!!! Same thing happened with the PS2s. I was a little surprised that M$ opted for the whole flat/vertical option… never quite understood that. :gotme: ---

The only system I’ll put vertically is the new slim PS2, only because its a spindle lock system as opposed to a try load. ---
