lol guys…relax. It’s just a tint/texting ticket. I’m usually polite, but this was BS cause he didn’t have a reason to pull me over to begin with (other than tint, which I bet he wouldn’t have stopped me for if he didn’t see my phone). This is the first time I’ve ever been short with a cop. Frankly, from where I was sitting, he didn’t know the law. So I let him know what it was. And got another ticket. Big deal. You are missing the point of this thread…I’m not complaining. Frankly I don’t give a crap. I’ll pay the fines no problem. I just find it funny how it played out. That is all. I was bound to get a tint ticket eventually. It’s inevitable. Big deal. I knew that when I got my car tinted.

see you need darker tint so they cant see you playing on your phone , you know whats gonna piss me off , when im using my iphone as my gps device and im holding it and get bothered for that one.

No. Never mouth off to a cop, even if you know for a fact they’re wrong. Always be cooperative with what ever it is they want to do. If you don’t like the cop’s behavior there are things you can do once your roadside relationship with the piggy is through.

I love to take these threads, and remove all of the excuses from the OP. It ends up making them look really dumb.
After removal of BS in OP, here is what I have concluded:
OP has illegal tint
OP was using his cell phone while driving
OP gets ticket for window tint and using his cell phone while driving.
OP states how he has already put the fact that he will get numerous tickets and have to pay for them to rest. Yet, here is a thread complaining about a ticket.
Like, JClarkizzle, you are going back on the ignore list, indefinitely, or until I see a thread that I view as being worth taking you off said list in order to argue with you.

I’m not complaining about tickets. What I’m “complaining about” (if anything) is a cop who is applying a law he doesn’t fully know/understand. And actually, I’m laughing at the fact.

sounds like he understood it pretty well, you think you’re educated about the law because you read an article in the times union or something?
you know how many kids he’s pulled over that have given him that same line? does it make a difference to him? nope. shut your mouth, take ticket, fight in court if you want.

it doesnt matter, Ilya. you dont argue with them when theyre at ur window. i dont care if he said your car’s color is illegal or whatever. just shut up, answer “yes” or “no” and nothing more! if you want to argue, do it in court. just accepting the piece of paper from him/her does not make you guilty or innocent. just take the paper and go home. prepare your “speech” if you have to at home, get ur facts straight if you think you can argue this out, then go to court and talk there. 99% of the time you’re going to lose. cops are stopping everyone, for everything right now. i saw 6+ ppl get pulled over just yesterday and i was driving for less than an hour. you think you’re the first guy he’s pulled over that thinks he knows the law better? he deals with people like that all day, every day. he’s giving you a ticket either way, man. i learned a long time ago, just dont say anything other what theyre asking you. do not try to be all kool and ask for the badge number, that shit from the movies NEVER WORKS! just take the ticket, and go, keep ur mouth shut. if they feel like it, they WILL find a way to keep you there for 4 hrs. it’s not a moving violation, just pay the tint fine or rip it off. i just got a tint ticket two days ago, im not taking mine off. im just going to pay the fine. theres no points, no insurance increase. i actually got stopped for no front plate, expired inspection and tint. thats 3! he coulda given me, because i didnt mouth off and wasnt a smart ass, i just got the tint ticket. learn from this.
