So I have this pretty nice apt in a two family (upper and lower) here in suburbia. The price is right, the neighborhood is great, lots of room, clean, etc. I’m just totally annoyed with my neighbors, and people in general. Here it is around 230 in the afternoon. I’m listening to a CD at 25 percent volume on the computer. The neighbors wife calls me up and starts fake coughing on the phone. “oh me and the kids are sick, can you turn the music down”. Yet, its perfectly acceptable for her kids to be screaming every night at 3 in the morning, then again at 6am. Its also ok if her and her husband scream the F word through the entire house at eachother twice a week. Its ok for them to park their broken down cars in my girlfriends spot in the driveway. I seriously feel bad for the landlord, the kids downstairs are totally demolishing the apartment downstairs. I bet when they move out the place is whipped beyond belief. I can’t wait to get my own house and tell people to fuck off. ---

Wait, you can’t wait to buy a house, only to find out your neighbors may be just as annoying? lol That’s happened to lots of people I know. I’d want to buy a house for other reasons than you mentioned. ---

I used to have a couple in their early 20s above me and all they did was play dance music all fucking day and night. One day they disappeared and left the apartment trashed. I wish i had something to do with them disappearing. ---

Neighbors in a different house \>\>\>\> greater than neighbors in the same building. Besides, when you buy a house it’s “permanent” so neighbors tend to try a little harder to cultivate good relationships with each other. The privacy is the one thing that I love the most. Within reason, I can make whatever noise I want whenever I want, as long as it’s OK with the missus… ---

Buy a V8 with some bitchen pipes. or cut the exhaust off of what you drive. Get in the habit of burning trash/doing burnouts/testing airhorns. If you have a window across from theirs start watching into their house in the nude w/ sunglasses on. better yet, While one of her kids is waiting for the bus or outside in general, walk up to him, get 2 inches from his face and scream till you puke. Or just tell the lady to fuck off ---
