the giant gaudy hood scoop. It can be functional, and not be giant and gaudy.
I really like the earlier LT1 era hood scoops.

Agreed. The scoops are much smaller, and the hood has the single raised section as opposed to the two pronounced bulges on the LS1 WS6 hood. Also, the LT1 front ends (both V6/Formula and TA) are much smoother and tastefull. Although, opposite to how I feel about LS1 'bird front ends I actually like the TA LT1 front end better than the V6/Forumula front. (The Green car on top is a TA, 383 w/ AFR heads at that… the Black car is a Formula w/ LT4 heads, LT4 Hotcam etc)

Geo Metro - 1621lb, 49hp, 58ft-lb, 1.0L 3-cyl, built in Canada
1/4 mile in 20+ seconds, 0-60 in about 14 seconds
Suzuki Swift GTi - 1870lb, 100hp, 83ft-lb, 1.3L 4-cyl, built in Japan, Recaro seats
1/4 mile in the mid 16s, 0-60 in about 8.5 seconds
The Swift is about as viable of a platform as any other fairly quick Japanese hatch… certainly moreso than a Civic DX/CX.

you could preach to your blue in the face no one will ever care the differences between your rides and the lesser versons. they all are rebadged pieces of garbage.

the newer twin scoop hood still comes from the older twin scoop TAs. think back a few years and youll see the larger styled scoops. most newer cars are trying ot resemble the most popular versions of them
