[/quote] if you are a Tech at Paddock you should know how flat rate works. Flat rate is when a job is quoted at XXX hours and that is what you get paid regardless of how long it takes you. That is how dealerships make money. This is how we quote jobs that are not custom. Off of published labor times. 9 out of 10 times we lose our asses on jobs because you cannot “flat rate” your way through custom or performance work. With that said. If I charged for every hour someone was working on your cars I would be a rich man but that is not how it works and most of the time, to my regret, you all get way more than you pay for. I wish I could break even on most things but if I charged what most of the work really costs, none of you would pay it. Nice sig Nikuk ---

my sister had her blazer flushed properly due to major cooling problems in las veags it cost her 575 for the flush plus the price of a water pump not sure if that does anything towards the drama just my insight from reading the original post ---

ugh Don doing that flush is a royal pain in the ass. Equinox’s require it also drain coolant fill with water remove core plugs. fill. repeat. add prestone run for 25 minutes. drain boiling hot coolant all over your body …etc…Don isn’t lying here. The quote is beyond reasonable because it’s a major pain in the ass. ---

well there ya go ^^^ and i really fucking hate cobalts and their drivers, they’re the worst fucking cars. i bet in 5 years my 22 year old bmw will look better, run better, and just be better in general than your 5 year old cobalt. look at the late 90’s cavalers you see rolling around now, jesus christ… ---

i just want to tell you all a story, sorry for going ot, but i think this may apply here. So im at work, delivering in my jetta vr6 (this was a few summers ago, when i still owned it) and this kid i went to high school with walks in. typical douchebag, pre-ripped/bleached jeans, hair that could impale a small animal if dropped from above his head, stupid white seashell necklace, you get the picture. if unfamiliar with a douchebag please see here. I’m really shocked to see a thread like this. Don is a good friend, and one of the fairest people I’ve met in the car business. He’s done work on my cars, never charging what he should have, only to prove that he cares about his customers and their cars. I have nothing but good things to say about Don, and all his crew at Hybrid. Don’t even blink at accusations like this Don, you are in no way in the wrong about anything here. You’ll still be seeing me and everyone else with common sense reading this thread. Thumbs up to Hybrid. ---
