i used to install hardwood floors for a general contractor through custom carpet centers, kenny carpets, home depot, lowes, etc. anyways, i was installing a bamboo floor into a very expensive house and the floor nailers we used required a mallet and you had to pretty much pound these staples into the lip of the boards. well i was pounding away and a staple came through and shot right into my boot. it went right through my foot and came through the top of my boot. lets just say those boots were no longer any good after they took the scissors to them and theres still marks on the top and bottom of my foot from where it entered and came out.
