Im sure they used the ls1 because it is cheaper and easier to find then another termi engine or 331 that you posted dave ---

Being N/A…it eliminates all those heak soak worries. Heat soak was the real reason why they scrapped the 4v motor. a fully dressed LS1 with the tranny attatched weighs around 520lbs…those 4v motors weigh alot more. ---

The REAL reason they put it in, is b/c the car was TOTALLED, and they bought it back from the ins company on the cheap cheap. THe original motor was destroyed, and they bought a cheap LSx to put in it. HAd it been my car, I would have built a 351W based motor, as they have just as much potential as a LS1 does. All they did was take the cheap route for N/A hp, which is gay, but w/e. ---

Similar to taking out a K20 and swapping in a B-Series. Something that made ALOT more power stock, for something a bit lighter, that STOCK made less power. To each his own though, plenty of faggots taking it in the ass too, doesnt mean everyone is gonna do it. (Except PJB) ---
