GM ditching Apple Carplay and Android Auto

It’s an easy install. Come stateside and I’ll do it. I’m 20min for Lewiston bridge.

I put an RCD330 in my Tiguan to get CarPlay, was about an hour total while drinking a beer. Fit and finish as good as OEM.

I still have the factory unit in my RR, but they do make a nice looking replacement. The only problem is that I would need to relocate an ambient light sensor and all the positions were I’ve seen people do it are quite ghetto.

I thought about a joying radio for the c5 to get android auto, but Panama by Vann Halen really needs to be played on CD.

But if i dont feel like fixing GMs super shitty 2000s lights, i might get a new head unit.

I had to replace a bunch of them on my old Envoy dash when replacing stepper motors, but never on a radio.

Somewhere, a Delphi employee sheads a tear over a job well done.

lol.
The best part is that I have no idea when they failed.
This was the first year the car has been driven at night in ~16 years

I wonder if I could swap in my cav radio and get CD AND cassette .

Buttons on the dash are also out. Where is @LUKE_L when you need him.
